Day 2 part 2

Sorry it's not pretty... After dinner we took a leisurely stroll through one of the richest districts in Paris. We walked past Harry Winston and Valentino aNd hotel where dinner menus start at 400 euros ($550 dollars) per person. The kids enjoyed gawking at the Ferraris and Rolls Royce's and Bentleys. We came out at Place d'Alma where there is a gold statue of the Statue of Liberty flame. It's also here Princess Diana died in the tunnel right underneath. We arrived at the docks for the Bateaux Mouches, one of the tourist sightseeing cruises. The kids enjoyed sitting on top (it warmed up a bit today) and taking photos of many of the landmarks wew learned about on the bus tour this morning. The kids are really enjoying themselves! After the boat ideas a short wa to the metro for a long ride back to the hotel as we were now at the opposite end of Paris. Our kids are such pros at the Metro now that Evan told me he feels like we have been doing this forever! After getting off the metro we stopped a tiny food stand in the metro station so the kids could stock up on snacks and soda. The poor man dqidn't know what hit him- 41 people wanting to shop at his store at 9:30 at nights when he is probably ready to close and he hadn't seen that many people all day! Then it was off to pack for tomorrow's departure, download a few memory cards and get ready for bed. Tomorrow (which is now today!) we are off to the Loire Valley to see the chateaux!
