On the road again!

We made it! Lines were moving, we claimed our bags and met our EF guides Kaja and Vanya. We are in the bus now heading to our first stop at the Lindt museum. After that we will have a brief city tour and some free time to shop and explore then dinner tonight and check in the hotel for an early bed time.

While en route we got some interesting facts about Switzerland.

Switzerland has the biggest consumption of chocolate and yet the lowest obesity rate in whole world and one of the longest life expectancy rates at 84 years. They eat dark chocolate which is healthiest and also have a lot of active lifestyles. They prefer to walk and hike, and use public transit over private cars. People use the public transportation system because it’s very punctual, clean, and efficient.

Of the whole society of Switzerland, 14% are millionaires. 25% of the people also hold a foreign passport There’s almost 9 million in population and 70% of the country is covered by mountains. It’s famous for fresh air and beautiful landscapes. You can even buy Swiss air spray from the vending machines because the air is so fresh! Sounds like a great souvenir!

See the Alps in the distance!
