This trip our travelers had to get themselves to the airport instead of a charter bus since we are a smaller group. We had our drop off and ferry system going strong to shuttle kids inside from one adult checkpoint to the next. It was smooth sailing (or smooth flying??)
We move as a large group sometimes and sometimes as small groups. This is why we wear the same shirt in departure day - kids are learning to look for us and their classmates and the people in the airport also realize we are traveling as a group and do their best to avoid us!
When checking in for the flight our kids learned about getting their luggage sticker receipts, paying for suitcases, what a paper boarding pass (gasp!) actually looks like.
First time flier Ron J looked like a pro!
We learned that certain teen debit cards have protections on them and won’t let teens pay for a bag at the airport but like all things we had multiple plans in place and got everything all worked out!
Next up security and then to the gate!
