Off to the hotel!

We have made it through customs and baggage claim and passport control! We stopped to let the kiddos change and freshen up and take advantage of the spacious bathrooms at the airport. 

 

Just outside of the secure area we met up with Chiara, who is our tour guide. 

 

Then it was outside to wait for and the. meet the coach driver. It felt really nice to get some fresh air! 

 

Right off the bat we found two things that are different...

We are heading to the hotel and getting some local tidbits from Chiara. For example, to become a cab driver in London it takes two years. You have to take an exam where they give you a route and you have to tell them how to get there the fastest way - without the use the of a phone or GPS! I wonder how active Uber and Lyft are here...

 

This afternoon we will be doing a walking tour and some shopping - the best cure for jet lag!
