Trafalgar Square

A quick walk up the street from our lunch stop brings us to Trafalgar Square. This is where many large gatherings, protests and celebrations can often be found. Today there was a large service going on in the square in preparation for a performance of the Passion. The large column in the middle commemorates Admiral Nelson and an important battle in British history. There's a great view down the square to Big Ben and the other side of the squares houses the National Gallery, our next stop.
