For dinner we ate at Le Marathon a tiny hole in the wall in which our group of 40 seemed to take up the entire space. Our meal tonight is a traditional beef Bourguignon, which is a little like pot roast in gravy over potatoes. We had a beet, tomatoes, and corn salad before our main and finished with an apple tart for dessert.
As our students were returning from the teeny tiny restroom at the back, a few stopped to converse with the chef in French. Haley was then offered the chance to make he creme brûlée topping with a blow torch! She spoke lovely French during the whole encounter!
