So a few people have posted about a bomb threat at the Eiffel Tower last night. I wanted to assure everyone that we were perfectly safe and were in fact on the boat when it was first reported. We were only in the area across the river for a few minutes after getting off the boat. We had thought about waiting the two hours in line but decided against it and did the boat tour instead. Also, while it sounds alarming to Americans, it is actually quite common in Europe and everyone here is used to it. The police presence in quite strong and we feel very safe here. Regardless we are on our way to the French countryside but I didn't want you all to worry.
We are all up and fed and on the way to the train station!
