French students take note we have just left where they filmed the music video for the keen'V song Prince Charmant!
The Baux is one of the 157 medieval villages in France. It is one of the most beautiful ad even though it was gray and rainy the kids still found it charming. It has the ruins of a chateau at the top and medieval weaponry. We strolled along the cobbled streets takin in the shops which commonly sell table linens typical of the region, olives and olive oil, herb blends from the region, wine of course, lavender and other herb soaps, and ceramic dishes. Many students stopped to enjoy a snack but the big hit was the toilets!
These toilets were rather high tech - when you go in the seat lowers and then you have to push a button to get out and then the stall flushes itself and cleans up before allowing the next person is let in. Of particular humor is the sign that says limit 15 minutes :)
Despite being tired the kids trekked up and down the Rocky Mountain and enjoyed the vistas. We are now back on the bus listening to Gangnam Style and plotting a Harlem Shake video in center Avignon. These kids are having a blast and it is warming my heart to see them having so much fun in the country I love!
