Park Gaëll

This is an absolutely amazing spot. It was planned to be a ritzy neighborhood of 60 houses for the rich overlooking the sea. Gaudi was the designer and it carries his distinctive colorful and whimsical look. There are 30 viaducts for cars and springs that empty into a cistern shaped like a lizard. Unfortunately the project never took off and only one house was sold. Gaudi bought the sample house and lived there himself before he was killed (he was run over by a truck!)

Now it is a beautiful park full of tourists and street vendors. It has he longest bench in the world which is also ergonomicallt designed to be super comfortable. From here you can see the entire city to the sea. It is probably one o the most popular picture taking spots ever :). It is a beautiful place to stroll and we saw lots of palm trees (for the wealthy) and also some lavender bushes in bloom which excited me :)

We are just now arriving at the Sagrada Familia so I will finish here with a few photos.
