Approach to Windsor

Windsor is the largest and oldest continually occupied royal palace. It’s about 20 miles out of a London. Originally developed as a fort, it is now the primary residence for the Queen. On our tour we will see the state apartments used for entertaining, the throne room, the banqueting hall (where Harry and Meghan had their wedding reception), and the historic apartments where the royal family would have lived in the 1600s. It sits on a ridge overlooking the town of Windsor and the River Thames.

This is where Queen Elizabeth grew up, when she was sent out of London during the duration of the war.
