The Royal Courts of Justice is the highest civil court in the country besides the Supreme Court. This is where they hear divorce cases and also the inquest of Princess Diana’s death. It was built to look like a church as is common in England for government buildings.
We also saw the back entrance to Buckingham Palace which houses the Blues and Royals, which is one the guards for the Queen. Both William and Harry were members of this regiment.
Fleet Street home to the lawyers and journalists, the home Of the printing industry when the first printing press was set up here. This 1920s Art Deco black building housed the Express newspaper offices.
Reflected in the building is this church steeple from the Church of Brides, which is the inspiration for the traditional tiered wedding cake. Rupert Murdoch married Jerry Hal here. It’s where journalists marry and and have their funerals.
Other sites included Trafalgar Square which honors Nelson, the greatest naval hero who battled Napolean on the seas while Wellington battled him on the ground. This square is also home to the National Gallery (art museum).
