Free time in Bath

After the tour the kids had some free time to shop and snack before the bus ride back to London. Several adults and students went to the Jane Austen center to visit the gift shop and pose with the statue of Jane. Mrs. Agar and Mrs. Akelman were thrilled to see it, especially since Mrs. Akelman’s students are reading Prideand Prejudice right now!

On the way back to the square we found a new career for the Whitfields - cheesemongering!

We stopped at this real estate office to check out the price of homes in Bath; we won’t be affording any of these anytime soon!
Back in the square it was a final visit to the souvenir shops and stops for some yummy snacks to take home on the bus. 

On the way back to London now and those that are awake are greatly enjoying Corinna’s opinions on the Royals (she’s a big fan of Kate, Will, Camilla, and Charles but not at all of Meghan though Corinna admits she has a beautiful speaking voice), the tiaras worn by Meghan and Beatrice for their weddings, how Charles is the best Prince of Wales they have had, the best Zodiac signs for each gender, the joys of driving on the left, Brexit, and where she wants visit in the US (Williamsburg and Chicago are tops on her list). To top it off - check out this rainbow!
Next up is curry dinner!
