Rise and Shine

The US lost an hour of sleep today but one benefit of jet lag in London is that Daylight Savings Time doesn’t happen until the end of March! Regardless we had quite a few sleepy kids this morning at wake up calls at 6:30! Because of the size of our group we ate breakfast in two shifts, one group ate at 7:00 and one group at 7:30.

Breakfast at the hotel was a small buffet but typical of both British and American foods. Cereals included Corn Flakes, Rice Crispies and Special K. There was yogurt, fruit, croissants, toast, English muffins, and pancakes. On the hot line was fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, ham bacon, hash browns, and various sausages. The kids gave it two thumbs up. After fueling up it was time to head out to the bus for a day of touring the British countryside.
