Eurostar

We transferred this morning to Saint Pancras station, which is attached to a lovely renaissance style hotel of the same name. The station was rather deserted compared to other times I have been here which made traveling through with our large group much easier.

These trains are quite nice and more spacious than traveling by plane, not to mention faster and more convenient.  First step is to scan your ticket into the kiosks, then airplane style security checks and x-rays, then passport control from the French police. Once through we wait in a large hall. They do not post the platform and coach information until right before boarding.

The kids have a few minutes to grab a coffee, snack, and spend or exchange their leftover pounds.
