The Seine River is overflowing its banks so this area which is normally a pedestrian walkway is covered with water.
The Royal Palace before the Louvre was built, site of the courts u til last year when they moved to a bigger building in the outskirts of town. This also houses the Saints Chappelle royal chapel which has amazing stained glass.
