The Queen’s Gallery is an art museum now but was originally the chapel of the palace. It took a direct hit from a German bomb inWorld War 2. The Queen Mother said she was happy it was bombed because it saved other parts of a London’s neighborhoods and people from having bombs dropped there, which has made her a beloved member of the Royal family.

George the Gorgeous (aka the King of Bling)
We approached Buckingham Palace past the Royal Mews that house the Royal Calvary and guard. This path brings you up the rear left side of the palace where Mark stopped to tell us about George the Gorgeous. He got the reputation as the King of Bling because he turned everything to gold during his reign. He is responsible for most of the elaborate decorations at Windsor in the public rooms. George did have a messy personal life according to Mark but more on that later from Windsor.
