Our cable car ride up Mount Rigi offered breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, Lake Lucerne, and the surrounding countryside. Known as the “Queen of the Mountains,” Rigi is one of the oldest mountain railways in Europe, with the first cable car reaching its summit in 1871. Fun fact: Mount Rigi is famous for its stunning sunrises, and it’s said to be the place where you can see the most number of Swiss lakes in one view. The best part - the stomach drops when we passed through the various gondola towers as we adjusted altitude on the way up to the top!
